Ometek is the sheet metal fabrication arm of a group of companies supporting the design and production of critical power equipment for data centers and other high-reliability industrial markets. We manufacture precision components and assemblies used in mission-critical applications.

Role Overview

We are seeking an Inside Sales Engineer with direct experience in product manufacturing operations, working closely with Bills of Materials (BOMs), production processes, and cross-functional teams. This role serves as the technical link between customers, sales, engineering, and production, supporting quoting, cost analysis, and order execution for fabricated metal products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support accurate quoting and manufacturability
• Perform cost and pricing analysis using material, labor, and process data
• Support technical sales activities and customer communication
• Collaborate with engineering and production on manufacturable solutions
• Track open orders, project status, and delivery schedules
• Maintain accurate data in ERP and CRM systems
• Support proposals, technical documentation, and sales presentations

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
• Inside Sales, Sales Engineering, or Manufacturing Operations experience
• ERP/CRM experience
• Experience with BOMs and manufacturing data
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools

Preferred:

• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and product assembly (cutting, forming, welding, finishing)
